Baby Skin Clean Guide

Guidelines to Care for your Newborn.

It’s a known fact anything that’s natural is the best and reliable.

A 'Chemical soup', is been described by a recent national newspaper which addresses that it includes the foods we eat, the clothes we wear and the cosmetics we use to keep each one clean and groomed.

There is lot of literature and media about the distressing concern of effects of chemicals in our everyday lives.

Today the rates of eczema, asthma and related allergies have continued to rise year on year, alongside an explosion of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products!

With this in mind, it is easy to see how our children, and especially little babies, could be at even greater risks, due to their inherent susceptible.
Their skin is thinner, their immune systems are very gentle fragile and immature. Imagine the harm and results when they are subjected to a multitude of chemicals from the moment they are born.

The time has come we take initiative and discontinue the use of such products and reflect on the need for these products that come with questioning promises and ever more sophisticated marketing. Can we take a chance with our babies?
Instead allow the newborn’s skin to develop with its own protective barrier.

My guidelines are very simple to follow, facts and evidences and above all common sense.

The basic message is to use clean, hygienic 'water-only' for the new born’s first month of life. Give his/her skin some time to adjust with this world naturally. The nature takes care on its own.

Remember anything placed on, in or around an infant is impending, which is why advice about feeding, washing clothes and cord care is vital.

These guidelines believed to be the first once of their kind in the UK with the hope that other units will soon adopt this advice.

They bring together basic tips on skincare; cord care and feeding that will hopefully avoid confusion and lead to a fall in referrals to skin specialists.

Whats Best for baby? Skincare tips for newborns
Earlier most caring parents felt duty-bound to use various baby products, thinking they were the 'best' for their baby.

This is apparent but we often ignore the obvious, even when it is staring us in the face.

Latest international research now tells us that 'the less the use of baby products more are the advantages and yes definitely is more beneficial risk free care to reduce exposure in the first few weeks, no skin allergies, no testing skin types instead we are giving our babies skin time to mature naturally
